Natalie Yu is a final year medical student from Imperial College London. She began drawing on her hospital placements to capture her experiences of being in clinical spaces. Her interests also include storytelling through illustrations and comics.

For her medical elective, she joined CW+ for 6 weeks as a student shadowing the team and also as an artist in residence in the Drawn in Residence program. She has collaborated with the Arts for All program, Treatment Centre staff, and other teams to produce a range of artworks, such as her reportage drawings, graphic recordings, and animatics. She hopes her works will not only preserve meaningful moments in the hospital’s history but also generate interesting discussions about its subject.
