Marta Casagrande
Marta Casagrande is an Italian artist and illustrator based in London who focuses on imaginative drawing and creates physical objects and toys. With a background in architecture, her interests span utopian landscapes, biology and childhood nostalgia, influencing her practice in world-building and character design.
As part of the Drawn in Residency at West Middlesex Hospital, Marta collaborated with Huihsuan Chou on a project involving the hospital community of Kew ward, where long-stay patients have limited access to the outside world and make special connections with the doctors and nurses who care for them. Both patient and staff groups engaged in creative workshops, contributing to the project, which has been compiled into a publication.
The publication above, Imaginary Landscapes, was created in collaboration with Huihsuan Chou. You can see their work here.
